What is IHeartCrisis?

So here's how I see it:
  • We've got until about 2030 to cut carbon emissions by at least 90%, otherwise we can expect climate change to enter a phase of runaway feedback.
  • Our economic system is falling apart at the seams.
  • Oh yeah, and global oil supplies will probably peak over the next decade (if they haven't already, of course).
If we're going to address these three challenges, and their consequences, we need to be prepared to examine even our most fundamental beliefs and values. If necessary, we may need to alter some of our most cherished attitudes and behaviours.

If we're going to do that, we may as well enjoy it!

IHeartCrisis is intended to be a space of inspiration and practical help. I firmly believe that:

a) it's worth the effort

and

b) this combination of crises also constitutes an amazing opportunity to build a more just, satisfying, vibrant society.

That's it, really. I'll be posting relevant stories, along with personal reflections on the process and, y'know, anything else that seems interesting at the time.
